Field Technician - Implementation Specialist

as an Implementation Specialist supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in modernizing the National Airspace System (NAS).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform light construction and electrical work for telecommunications infrastructure upgrades.
Climb towers to install, align, or remove antennas and waveguides.
Conduct small‑scale trenching with hand tools and light equipment.
Conduct technical site surveys, develop survey reports, and support installation planning with FAA stakeholders.
Provide technical support for voice‑grade, data‑comm, digital, and IP telecommunications cutovers.
Ensure compliance with FAA safety standards and government telecommunications regulations.
Maintain detailed documentation of as‑built installations, repairs, and site conditions.
Physical Requirements
Extended computer use: regular prolonged periods at a terminal.
Lifting: occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
Mobility: movement throughout office and outdoor environments.
Dexterity: manual dexterity and visual acuity for troubleshooting.
Sitting/standing: both prolonged sitting and occasional standing.
Work Environment
Primarily computer‑based work; meetings and collaboration required.
Outdoor work with variable weather conditions.
Location & Travel Remote with 75% travel.
