Principal Learning Consultant, Alpha
Location : In-person at one of Alpha’s campuses: Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA East Bay (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles).
Base Pay : $100 per hour (equivalent to $200,000 per year for a 40‑hour, 50‑week schedule). Weekly pay cycles, full health coverage and 401(k) Roth options beginning day one.
Relocation : Assistance provided for qualified candidates.

What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and train Guides to deliver Alpha workshops at world‑class standards.
Design Guide playbooks that document facilitation best practices, reward learning activity design, and provide challenge resolution techniques.
Deliver consistent, actionable feedback to Guides that elevates student engagement and academic outcomes.
Coach a small student cohort, demonstrating expert motivation and coaching methodologies.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Creating lesson plans – Guides support student learning through adaptive apps; you focus on training them as exceptional motivators.
Compromising standards – uphold a 100% benchmark.
Running uninspiring training sessions – develop Guides through dynamic, high‑energy, interactive professional development.
Key Responsibilities Develop Guides and students to ensure every learner in your cohort achieves Alpha’s three commitments: loving school, learning at 2× speed, and mastering life skills. No exceptions.
Basic Requirements
Currently located in or prepared to relocate for in‑person work at one of Alpha’s campuses.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related fields.
Proven track record of developing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives.
Robust leadership and mentorship capabilities with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and inspire high‑performing teams.
Background working with youth (ages 5‑18) in educational or developmental settings.
Competency in data analysis and leveraging metrics to inform decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
