What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims with high potential exposure
Analyze coverage, determine compensability, and establish reserves
Negotiate settlements and prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences
Conduct meetings with insureds and claimants to discuss claims
Collaborate closely with defense attorneys and other vendors, including medical case management
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 10 to 13 years of California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience
Current license to adjust workers’ compensation claims in California
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work with a variety of internal and external contacts
Industry designations such as Associate in Claims are highly regarded
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in adjusting higher exposure claims within California
Additional industry certifications or designations
Proven track record of successful claims resolution strategies
