Position Summary The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a general Ophthalmologist (Assistant Professor) to join its clinical care team and faculty. This position will provide comprehensive care at the USF Health Eye Institute and inpatient services at Tampa General Hospital. This position will also supervise residents and fellows.
Responsibilities
Provides outpatient corneal and inpatient surgical care to patients at the USF Health Eye Institute and Tampa General Hospital.
Supervision and teaching of residents, fellows and medical students.
Lectures or provides Grand Rounds on various specialty topics.
Provides TGH call coverage and performs other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
Qualifications Minimum:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program.
Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.
Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
Must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.
Preferred:
Outpatient clinical experience.
