The President & CEO serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of Pensacola Sports. This role is responsible for setting the vision, driving organizational growth, managing staff and finances, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, including corporate partners, government agencies, athletic associations, and community leaders. Leadership & Strategic Vision

Develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with the mission and goals of Pensacola Sports. Serve as the public face and key spokesperson for the organization. Provide executive leadership to staff, volunteers, and committees. Financial & Operational Management

Oversee the organization’s budget, financial performance, and fiscal integrity. Ensure compliance with nonprofit governance standards and reporting. Identify new funding streams including sponsorships, grants, memberships, and event revenue. Stakeholder & Community Relations

Build and maintain strong partnerships with city and county governments, tourism agencies, chambers of commerce, athletic governing bodies, and community organizations. Represent Pensacola Sports at local, state, and national industry meetings, conferences, and events. Cultivate relationships with board members and serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors. Event Oversight & Sports Tourism Development

Oversee the planning, production, and evaluation of all Pensacola Sports events, including annual signature events, championships, and new bid opportunities. Lead sports tourism strategies to attract regional and national events to Escambia County and the Pensacola area. Ensure high event-quality standards that enhance both community impact and visitor experience. Marketing, Advocacy & Brand Management

Guide the organization’s marketing, public relations, and media efforts. Promote Escambia County as a top sports destination and elevate the organization’s local and national visibility. Advocate for sports-based economic development and community wellness initiatives. Required

7+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in sports, tourism, nonprofit, or event management sectors. Proven success in fundraising, sponsorship development, or revenue generation. Strong public speaking, community engagement, and relationship-building skills. Experience overseeing budgets, strategic planning, and staff leadership. Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Experience working with boards of directors and nonprofit governance. Background in sports tourism, destination marketing, economic development, or collegiate/pro sports administration. Knowledge of the Escambia County/Florida Gulf Coast region and sports-tourism landscape.
