Manager, Software Engineering

What You’ll Do
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full‑stack systems, creating solutions that meet regulatory needs and drive innovation.
Share your passion for staying current on technology trends, experimenting with new tools, and mentoring other engineers, while actively participating in internal and external technology communities.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud‑based solutions that power great experiences for millions of Americans.
Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, HTML/CSS, and work with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
At least 2 years of people‑management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree.
7+ years of experience in at least one of JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
4+ years of experience in open‑source frameworks.
5+ years of people‑management experience.
2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
