Sous Chef | Los Angeles, CA
Are you a driven, hands-on culinary professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking an
energetic and entrepreneurial Sous Chef
to support the successful operation of a dynamic culinary program in Los Angeles. In this role, you’ll work closely with the
Executive Chef
to lead kitchen operations, develop menus, execute catering events, and deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef with
consistent experience in Business & Industry (B&I)
or a proven track record as a
Sous Chef in an LA-based restaurant . What You’ll Do
Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations
Assist with menu planning, development, and execution
Prepare, cook, garnish, and present high-quality menu items
Produce and execute on-site and off-site catering events
Help manage food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards
Roll out new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams
Supervise and mentor hourly culinary associates
Assist with ordering, inventory, and kitchen organization
Job Summary
What We’re Looking For
A.S. degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience
Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
Consistent experience in
B&I foodservice
or as a
Sous Chef in a high-quality LA restaurant
Catering experience (preferred)
Experience in
high-volume, complex foodservice operations
(highly desirable)
Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking (a plus)
Strong understanding of culinary trends, food quality, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, internet)
Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives
ServSafe Certification
(highly desirable)
