Job Description Assistant Project Manager I
General Description
The Assistant Project Manager I (APM I) will assist/support the Project Manager (PM) on project tasks, follow-up on deliverables, and review with the PM. This position is responsible for coordinating engineering, estimating, project controls, client presentations, procurement, and construction activities during project development and execution phases.
Work may involve supporting multiple projects concurrently and supporting other project and proposal efforts or rotations with operational support groups.
Duties
- Coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during project phases.
- Assist in developing project schedules with relevant teams.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Work with procurement to develop scopes of work and schedules for subcontractors and vendors.
- Collaborate with Safety personnel on safety plans and incident investigations.
- Assist in project scheduling and monthly review reports.
- Support financial reviews and project closeouts.
- Assist with RFI submissions and improve deliverable quality.
- Support procurement activities.
- Monitor project progress across design, procurement, and construction.
- Facilitate project close-out and warranty administration.
- Participate in post-construction reviews and lessons learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including acting as PM when qualified.
- Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
Skills

- Understanding of project design, EPC processes, and construction methods.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management software.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
