We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
- Assist in the receipt and put-away process to ensure proper stock rotation.
- Identify and report damaged or expired goods.
- Ensure the physical organization and tidiness of inventory storage areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed for inventory tasks.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
