Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging, carefully packing items to prevent damage, applying shipping labels, and preparing all necessary documentation. You will also coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments to their destination. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shipping processes, excellent organizational skills, and a meticulous approach to detail. Familiarity with different shipping software and carrier portals is highly advantageous. A commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This position is critical to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction.
