The office invests the University’s endowment under the guidance of the University’s Board of Trustees Investment Committee. The endowment pool is one of the 20 largest private university endowments in the United States. We thrive on innovation and active sourcing of investment opportunities. Job Summary

The Investment Office is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our investment team of portfolio managers and analysts who value teamwork, intellectual curiosity, and collaboration. The Portfolio Manager will analyze and recommend investment managers and strategies, maintain due diligence, support risk tolerance and liquidity needs, and prepare presentations for the CIO and internal committees. Responsibilities

Develop and implement a long‑term global investment strategy and manage assigned portfolios. Identify compelling investment opportunities, complete due diligence, manage legal document review, negotiate terms, and monitor results. Monitor and manage relationships with existing external managers, research trends, and evaluate new managers. Manage diversification by asset class, partnerships, manager style, industry, vintage year, lifecycle, and geography. Prepare and deliver verbal and written presentations to the CIO and internal committees, and review work completed by others. Assist in building the team’s reputation for professional excellence inside the University and the investment community. Work independently to develop the Investment Policy Statement, collaborating with asset‑class specialists and risk management. Use deep financial knowledge to assess all asset classes and investments for a comprehensive perspective. Perform other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications

College or university degree in a related field. Work Experience

5–7 years of related work experience. Certifications

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or work toward a CFA. Preferred Qualifications

MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field. Background investing globally is highly valued. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience as a direct investor or manager of managers. Experience constructing and executing investment and asset allocation strategies across a broad portfolio. Previous experience coaching and developing junior professionals. Superior analytical skills and proven track record of incorporating quantitative and qualitative inputs. Strong relationship building network in the institutional investor community. Diplomatic conversation skills and constructive debate. Risk management proficiency within a portfolio. Leadership presence with professional credibility to cultivate relationships. Excellent judgment, high integrity, and values aligning with the University’s leadership. Energetic, hardworking collaborator. Intellectual curiosity. Team player comfortable working across teams. Interest in supporting a university endowment. Working Conditions

Office setting Monday‑Thursday; remote option on Friday. Travel in the U.S. and internationally 20–60% of the time. Application Documents
