Overview

The Systems Administrator will support the organization’s server and storage infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation and performing routine backups, maintenance, and upgrades. The role involves day-to-day administration of Linux servers, monitoring system health, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with senior staff to resolve technical challenges while maintaining compliance with IT policies and security standards. Responsibilities

Perform day‑to‑day administration of Linux servers, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Assist with server upgrades, migrations, and hardware/software installations under senior guidance. Maintain and update automation scripts and tools such as Shell and Ansible. Analyze system logs to identify and troubleshoot performance issues. Install and configure new hardware, software, and operating system updates. Respond to technical support requests and resolve issues within established service level agreements. Collaborate with team members to identify recurring problems and escalations. Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and perform routine security audits. Manage asset inventory and document technical environment configurations. Introduce and integrate new technologies into Data Center environments. Administer operating systems, maintain security, and implement backup procedures for servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices. Track compliance and maintain documentation for hardware, software, and service inventories. Perform other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications

College or university degree in a related field. 5–7 years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications

Minimum five years of systems administration experience. Industry recognized professional and technical certifications. Technical Skills or Knowledge

Proficient managing networked servers, switches, firewalls, network services, and system utilities. Skilled in a multi‑platform network environment, client support, and backup and restore technologies. Expertise with system administration in a large and complex client server environment. Knowledge of backup technology, monitoring, and automated systems management technologies. Preferred Competencies

Proven ability to solve complex systems problems independently and collaboratively. Outstanding deductive and investigative skills to diagnose complex, non‑intuitive technical problems. Quickly learn new procedures, techniques, and approaches. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Integrity and credibility when handling sensitive data. Working Conditions
