General Function The Sr. Manager – Medical Science Liaison (MSL) builds strategic relationships with Medical Experts and Key Opinion Leaders in Ophthalmology and Optometry to support the adoption and appropriate use of EssilorLuxottica products. The MSL supports scientific presentations, shares unbiased medical information, and gathers insights to inform product and market access and clinical practice. The MSL responds to requests for scientific/medical/clinical information and provides detailed knowledge of products, research, and publications. The MSL works cross‑functionally with internal teams to address needs, solve problems, and achieve medical objectives.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Build and sustain peer‑to‑peer collaborations with key eyecare experts in targeted areas.

Develop and execute strategic engagement/implementation plans prioritizing impactful interactions.

Serve as the cross‑functional product expert for internal teams across professional, clinical, regulatory, R&D, and commercial functions.

Gather, analyze, and communicate actionable insights from the eyecare community to inform brand, commercial, and clinical strategies.

Regularly collect, analyze, and report insights from the data dissemination/scientific exchange that may impact company development plans, trial designs, launch, and brand strategies/tactics.

Conduct non‑promotional scientific exchanges with internal and external partners, providing clarity and collecting intelligence on trends, competition, and product use.

Lead and participate in educational programs, society meetings, company events, and internal training as a subject matter expert.

Support investigator‑initiated studies including clinical trial planning, site and investigator selection, training, protocol execution, and data preparation for publication, grant or regulatory submission.

Partner with Health Care Providers (HCPs) on publications, conference presentations, advisory boards, medical education, and speaker development.

Provide the medical community with timely, accurate, and relevant disease state and product information.

Maintain thorough documentation of activities while ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

Adapt and develop medical education materials to support the engagement of HCPs.

Provide Key Opinion Leader speaker training.

Support internal staff training.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or another medical‑related discipline.

5 years of medical, optical, or otherwise comparable experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and clinical concepts.

Experience in collaborating with HCPs on a peer‑to‑peer level.

Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently and with teams across different departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Attention to detail and a drive to deliver high‑quality work.

Ability to travel 50‑60%.

Preferred Qualifications

OD preferred.

Exposure to Myopia Management or related experience.
