Expected pay for this position is $78.92 - $104.57/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President, Revenue Integrity plans and directs all aspects of Health Information Governance and Privacy, Coding Services, Revenue Integrity, Charge Capture. Aligned with compliance and governing regulations, this position ensures the most appropriate and optimal revenue, diagnosis, and procedure capture across all patient encounters. This executive leader has operational oversight of Coding – Professional and Facility, HIM – Information Governance and Privacy, Revenue Integrity, Charge master (CDM), Coding Quality Audit units, and leads OSF’s pricing strategies, provider coding education programs, and related payer denial prevention, contract/payor compliance activities, privacy monitoring any associated reporting, clinical information capture and release and external user system access. The Vice President works closely with the health system's revenue cycle, finance, information technology and clinical teams, and is accountable for effectively setting health system policy within scope of responsibility, organizing efficient work processes; demonstrating leadership skills to select, motivate, develop, evaluate, recognize and retain competent and caring personnel; and demonstrating interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Qualifications REQUIREDIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in HIM, business administration, accounting, finance, or other related field
Experience:
10+ combined years of operational Coding and Health Information Management (HIM) leadership experience in an organization of size and complexity comparable to OSF Healthcare Project Management experience
Licensure/ Certification:
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within one year of hire. RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS or other coding certification required.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Advanced Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Advanced Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Advanced Ability to lead/manage others.
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management, healthcare billing regulations, and insurance billing processes, and compliance issues.
Exceptional leadership, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional presentation skills, ability to present report outs to executive team: reporting on Goals, Key Accomplishments, core KPIs, areas of opportunity and performance improvement recommendations. Applicable coding knowledge.
Intelligence, integrity, and communication skills necessary to establish credibility and work effectively with key stakeholders, executive leadership and physicians as well as other stakeholders in organizing and ensuring revenue cycle performance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master’s degree HIM, business administration, accounting, or finance.
Experience:
Epic, experience selecting, deploying, or integrating advanced automation technologies.
