Daikin Applied is seeking a talented
Director, Digital M&A and Integrations . The Director will lead the strategy, evaluation, and execution of digital and technology focused acquisitions, partnerships and integrations. Operating with broad strategic direction, this role will represent the digital organization in the enterprise M&A discussions, working closely with the Corporate Development team. You will collaborate with digital senior leadership, majority owned representatives, and business leaders to advance the company’s digital growth agenda and ensure successful integration of new opportunities.

What You Will Do
Drive Digital’s M&A Strategy and Execution – Lead the development and execution of Digital’s M&A roadmap, aligning with corporate growth priorities and the organizational Transformation strategy
Represent Digital in Enterprise M&A – Serve as the primary voice for the Digital organization in enterprise-wide M&A discussions, ensuring alignment on digital priorities, technology strategy, and value creation objectives
Develop Strategic M&A Theses – Translate business and technology opportunities into clear M&A theses, synergy cases, and investment recommendations that inform corporate decision‑making
Lead Digital Due Diligence – Oversee Digital-focused diligence, including assessments of target technologies, data environments, cybersecurity posture, and integration complexity
Synthesize Findings and Recommendations – Coordinate cross‑functional input (Security, Infrastructure, Finance, HR, etc.), develop cost and risk assessments, and present concise diligence insights and integration hypotheses to senior leadership
Oversee Post‑Merger Integration (PMI) – Build and execute Digital’s integration plans from Day 0 through Year 1, ensuring seamless alignment across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, business systems, etc.
Measure and Realize Value – Track digital synergies and performance metrics post‑close to confirm value realization and continuous improvement against corporate and Digital KPIs; design and execute Majority Owned Representative (MOR) rationalization
Develop the Digital M&A Playbook – Create standardized methodologies, templates, and repeatable processes to enhance deal consistency, speed, and effectiveness
Institutionalize Best Practices – Capture lessons learned from affiliate integrations and Digital investments to continuously refine governance, tools, and integration approaches

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
12+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, management consulting, or digital transformation roles
Demonstrated experience executing due diligence, integration planning and execution across all aspects of IT and digital work streams (infrastructure, application migration, security, HR, manufacturing systems, finance, ERP, CRM, customer support, etc.)
Strong modeling, strategic analysis, and project management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities
Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence senior leaders across functions
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Strategy or Technology Management
Prior experience at a top‑tier consulting firm or in a corporate development function
Exposure to digital business models, SaaS, connected systems, or advanced analytics
Experience in executing enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and data platform integration
Experience in industrial, HVAC, or manufacturing sectors
Natural translator between business and technology leaders – equally comfortable in executive boardrooms and technical reviews
Salary:
Typical annual base range $142,000 – $243,000 (+ 30‑35% bonus) in MN, depending on skills, qualifications, experience and location.
