The Vice President, Account Manager manages all company contact with new and existing clients and is responsible for building and cultivating client relationships. This position is measured on the ability to sell and deliver services (doer‑seller) successfully. This position is responsible for generating business, managing client relationships, and developing employees as well as is responsible for a geographic region, vertical market segment, and/or customers with a large building program. The Account Manager is responsible for full profit and loss on respective accounts. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/General Manager and manages specific client accounts.
Responsibilities
Manage all company contact with new and existing clients.
Build and cultivate client relationships across geographic regions and vertical market segments.
Sell and deliver services, ensuring successful delivery as a doer‑seller.
Generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
Develop and mentor employees to enhance team performance.
Own full profit and loss responsibility for assigned accounts.
Report to the Executive Vice President/General Manager and manage specific client accounts.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in the construction industry with strong understanding of the construction process, project management, and industry regulations.
10+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and overseeing large projects, e.g., Project Manager, Project Executive, or similar high‑responsibility position.
10+ years identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategies to grow the client base, and increasing revenue.
10+ years of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or 8 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 15 years prior relevant experience.
