Job Title
Loan Processing Team Lead
Location Remote, Texas
What You’ll Do As a Processing Team Lead you will manage a team of Loan Processors (LP) and Loan Processing Assistants (LPA) who daily achieve objectives and KPIs. You will be responsible for training, development, daily task oversight, and supporting Operations. This role is critical to the productivity path for the team.
Manage overall production and performance of Loan Processors and Assistants, including daily responsibilities, motivation, scheduling, and training.
Administer policies, procedures, and compliance functions for the role.
Work closely with Processing and Operations leadership to achieve team and department monthly goals.
Collaborate with Retail Lending departments—Sales, Underwriting, Closing, Disclosures, Post‑Closing, and Compliance.
Assign tasks to Assistants to ensure KPIs are met for each processing team.
Lead and develop the team: hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
What You’ll Need
5+ years of experience in Mortgage Processing, Operations, or team leadership roles.
High school diploma required.
Leadership experience preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets, or other products.
Knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and industry standards.
Experience using mortgage LOS systems such as Encompass and other CRM‑related systems.
Experience developing and implementing best‑practice processing procedures to meet ongoing KPIs.
Strong speaking and writing communication skills.
