We are currently searching for a

Regional Supply Chain Head of North America

to join our Logistics department of the Marquardt Group in Rochester Hills (USA). The Regional Supply Chain Head of North America will ensure the efficient, cost‑effective, and resilient operation of the supply chain in the assigned region covering both purchasing and logistics, while aligning with global corporate strategy and local market requirements. They will optimize total cost of ownership across purchasing and logistics, ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks, improve supplier performance and logistics efficiency, drive sustainability and compliance with local regulations, and support regional growth and operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions

Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies, building a competitive and sustainable supplier base.

Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships; monitor performance and initiate corrective actions.

Collaborate with global procurement to align strategies.

Logistics

Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations; optimize transportation routes and warehouse operations.

Evaluate market changes and adjust plans to ensure resilience and agility.

Ensure compliance with trade/customs regulations and manage cross‑border logistics.

Optimize inventory levels to ensure availability, reduce working capital, and prevent excess stock.

Lead continuous improvement, digitalisation, and standardisation initiatives across plants.

Leadership & Coordination

Lead, develop and mentor the regional supply chain teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and performance.

Coordinate with local GMs, production, quality and finance departments.

Represent the region in global supply chain meetings.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and deploy best practices regionally.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.

8‑12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics.

Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role.

Strong knowledge of U.S. & Mexican logistics networks, warehousing, customs and import/export compliance.

Experience with ERP and supply chain planning systems (SAP).

Demonstrated success in optimising supply chain processes and scaling operations.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Ability to manage suppliers domestically and internationally.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (certifications a plus).
