Valuations VP

Our client, a $50B+ alternative asset manager, is hiring a VP of Valuations (Alternative Investments) in Newark, NJ. This hybrid role (4 days in-office) leads valuations across alternative investments, driving ASC 820–compliant methodologies, financial modeling, reporting, and valuation governance. You’ll manage valuation workflows, build and stress-test models, coordinate with auditors, and partner with senior leadership on portfolio reviews and new initiatives. We’re seeking candidates with 8-12 years of valuation experience in Corporate Direct Investments or Asset-Backed Finance, with exposure to consumer finance, small business finance, equipment or aviation leasing, or residential finance. Requires strong DCF, comparable company, and transaction analysis skills, along with Power BI proficiency (CPA or CFA preferred).
