Our client is a fast‑growing commodity trading and finance company that works with commodity‑owning companies of all sizes providing creative financing solutions. They provide asset‑based financing and are looking to capitalize on underserved market opportunities, targeting a 10X expansion. The company has its Head Office in New York City with additional offices in Latin America and plans to expand further in the global commodities trading space.

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic

Chief Financial Officer

to lead the financial operations of the firm. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, integrity of collateral reporting, regulatory compliance, and support for deal execution. The ideal candidate brings experience in financial control, audit readiness, and operational accounting within a commodities‑related environment.

This role requires exposure to secured lending deals, managing commodity risk, and aligning capital with physical asset‑backed transactions across industrial projects, inventory, equipment, and receivables. The CFO will serve as a core member of the executive team, driving financial strategy, risk mitigation, capital management, and profitability in a dynamic and volatile trading environment. The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with a strong grasp of industry economics, collateral valuation, and lending risk.
