District Manager – Chicago, IL Cambria has an exciting opportunity for a District Manager in Chicago, IL. The candidate will develop, cultivate, and grow residential and commercial sales of Cambria throughout an assigned territory. They will manage Market Representatives, Showroom/Gallery personnel, and business partners to accomplish these goals. Success depends on cross‑collaboration with Operations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Coaching & Leading Market Representatives

Effectively manage 5–10 direct reports, clearly defining priorities and expectations.

Develop and challenge employees to be high performing.

Establish a sales‑driven culture by setting clear and measurable sales goals.

Provide daily or weekly feedback as needed, conduct performance reviews, and manage performance issues.

Use Salesforce to observe and manage employee activity.

Ensure market development to maximize sales within the region; develop quarterly and annual territory sales plans.

Oversee development of such plans by direct reports for their markets or locations.

Be available to meet with direct reports and customers over meals or events.

Provide ongoing training and education to existing Market Representatives and Showroom/Gallery personnel.

Provide initial intensive in‑market training to new Market Representatives.

Building & Cultivating Relationships

Grow business partner relationships throughout the territory.

Hold partners accountable for their sales activities; engage regularly.

Maintain a high level of business, financial, and industry expertise.

Collaborate with distribution centers and FabShops leaders; spend 1–2 days per week at the office when available.

Maintain professional contact with key partners, industry associations, retailers for sales and recruiting.

Be an expert in industry standards and regulatory codes.

Use social media to promote the brand and product.

Information & Knowledge Sharing

Collaborate with marketing to create market intelligence and support materials.

Calibrate and collaborate with department leadership on initiatives and tools.

Communicate relevant information from other company areas to Market Reps.

Other Duties

Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies.

Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance for unsafe actions or conditions.

Requirements

Experience in the architectural and design industry.

Excellent business knowledge and financial acumen.

Superior track record of being customer‑focused with a professional demeanor.

Proven experience leading sales teams with disciplined planning, territory management, follow‑up, and data‑driven accountability.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Superior organizational and follow‑up skills.

Strong collaboration skills across functions.

Entrepreneurial mindset.

Proven effective use of CRM tools, such as Salesforce.

Must be able to travel and hold a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 7 years selling, plus minimum 3 years employee management.

Systems: Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides) suites; Concur and Salesforce preferred.

Travel & Additional Requirements

80% local travel by car to customers; remaining 20% to trade shows, associations, and training trips to Minnesota.

Must work extended hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Must hold a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check according to Cambria's standards.

Employees driving a company vehicle must be at least 23 years old and have at least 1 year of experience driving a passenger vehicle.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of quartz samples to and from appointments and events.

Must be able to drive for a long period of time.

Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $108,000 – $151,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individuals will also receive a branded company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
