Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint & Power BI Specialist to join our IT team. This position will full-time, remote, and is a contract position.
What You’ll Do
Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Prem environments
Implement Hybrid Cloud Architecture and integrate with Microsoft Azure
Customize SharePoint using SPFx, Power Automate, Power Apps, and workflows
Create and manage document libraries, lists, metadata, and web parts
Set up user access, permissions, and governance policies
Perform migrations using tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Tool
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance
Provide end-user support and training, including backup and recovery procedures
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint, Excel, APIs)
Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and dataset security
Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance, including dataset refresh schedules and gateway configurations
Troubleshoot slow-performing reports and optimize queries for efficiency
Document data models, business logic, and report specifications for future reference
What You’ll Need Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 4 years as a SharePoint Administrator or Developer
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, SQL Server, Office 365, Power BI, and PowerShell
Familiarity with SharePoint tools (ULS Logs, workflows, forms)
Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adhere to SDLC standards and work independently
KnowledgeLake experience
Basic knowledge of database tools and procedural languages SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL
Flexibility to support additional applications and reporting tools as needed
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
