Position Overview The Area Managing Director will provide leadership and strategic direction to a specified primary facility as well as multiple other facilities. The Area Managing Director will participate in the planning and implementation for both long and short-term business and strategic plans related to multiple facilities growth and successes. The Area Managing Director, in conjunction with the President / Vice President and ownership will set the fundamental goals of each facility and establish priorities in terms of their basic objectives, ensuring alignment with overall BlueStar Resort & Golf Division objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leads communication of the overall direction, long‑range vision and strategic guidelines, and ensures liaison between the overall strategic direction of BlueStar Resort & Golf with the strategic direction of the facilities. Leads the execution strategies to achieve annual leaderboard goals.

Lead the development and update of the five‑year plan and annual business plan review for each facility.

Maintain a very close liaison with the President / Vice President and the client/developer to ensure that the ongoing development priorities of the facilities and other real estate (including planning, design and construction) are compatible with the future operating goals of each facility.

Participates in the review and preparation prior to monthly financial calls and is actively involved in these calls for each facility.

Regularly engage with HOA Boards, directors, and community members.

Attends committee meetings as required, provides committees with requested or required information in preparation for meetings, and presents management reports on the committee's tasks and other appropriate support functions.

Jointly responsible for each facility’s weekly financial performance together with the President / Vice President – tracking, analysis and response, with focus on long‑term and short‑term performance and long‑term cost control programs.

Performs site inspections of each facility and implements procedures to improve site inspection scores with department managers.

Fosters, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with Club Advisory groups, HOA Boards, and various important committees.

Establishes and maintains the closest possible communications and relationships with different departments of the State, County, and local governmental agencies. Must be proactive in developing long‑range plans for each Club to facilitate the continual delivery of exceptional products to the marketplace and profit contributions to the company.

Participates in the review of marketing/branding strategies and implementation for the facilities and reviews their annual marketing plans.

Participates in the formulation of pricing/policy for the various revenue streams (i.e. ski, aquatic, green fees, memberships, lodging rates, banquet revenues, etc.) and any other matters that relate to facility operations.

Involved in key development initiatives directly relating to each clubhouse and restaurant plans. Establish goals and processes for measuring sales, revenue, new projects, and business development.

Maintain effective communication between all members regarding F&B operations, safety, and employee concerns.

Model motivation to inspire all team members.

Monitor the performance of F&B operations to determine whether strategies require adjustment to positively impact revenues and cost controls.

Oversee cost of goods, labor, and general expenses of F&B operations.

Create comprehensive member programs that includes monthly activities and events for recreation, enrichment, creative expression, and family fun.

Host Club events and activities, and conduct satisfaction surveys for larger events as the communities grow.

Create strategic partnerships with the Community Representatives to share information and create engaging lifestyle events to showcase the lifestyle and attract new buyers.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills

Graduation from a 4‑year accredited college or university or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Minimum of 10 years of experience as General Manager managing a high‑end private club or a portfolio of several clubs. Active Adult and Homeowner Association experience is highly regarded.

Extensive experience in F&B management.

An extensive working background of all operations related to a private club, including but not limited to HOAs, administrative, maintenance, financial, and personnel matters.

Ability to understand and implement BSRG dining standards.

Experience in event planning and budgeting preferred.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, suppliers, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills in dealing with members and clients.

Must demonstrate initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.

Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.

Work Environment This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk or be able to move around the office space, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Travel This position may require up to 15% travel with occasional overnight travel.
