The Role Atlas Cloud is seeking a Sales Solution Engineer to combine sales engineering, solution prototyping to support business growth and customer success, and bridge the gap between customer needs and our AI platform’s capabilities.
The Solution Engineer will work hand‑in‑hand with Sales, Product and Engineering to shape customer requirements, design solutions, run technical demos, ensure prospects clearly understand the value of our infrastructure, model library and APIs, and AI‑agent platform, and translate complex AI concepts into crisp and compelling solutions.
Based in Menlo Park, CA with significant time in the field meeting clients and prospects.
Regular travel to industry conferences and customer sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with sales during the sales cycle to understand customer needs and architect tailored solutions, and provide technical pre‑sales support to help win opportunities.
Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers, especially in the financial industry.
Solution Design & Technical Leadership
Translate customer problems into end‑to‑end architectures leveraging our AI infrastructure, model APIs, orchestration tools, and agent frameworks.
Build proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) that demonstrate feasibility and accelerate deal closure and deliver high‑impact demos that showcase our AI infrastructure, model‑as‑a‑service, and agent‑as‑a‑service capabilities.
Provide clear guidance on integration options, APIs, deployment models, data flows, security, and compliance. Create solution design documents, diagrams, and technical proposals.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Product to provide feedback on features, roadmap priorities, and customer pain points.
Work with Engineering on technical feasibility, special configurations, and successful POC delivery.
Help Marketing craft content (whitepapers, diagrams, technical blog posts) that strengthens our messaging.
Customer Success Transition
Support seamless handoff to implementation and customer success teams.
Ensure customer expectations, technical scope, and success metrics are well‑documented.
Requirements Must‑Haves
5+ years in Sales Engineering / Solutions Architecture / Technical Pre‑Sales.
Proven Ability to Architect End‑to‑End Customer Solutions.
Strong Technical Communication Skills.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Experience with Regulated or Enterprise Environments.
Startup or High‑Growth Environment Experience.
