Head of Customer Innovation, Product

will lead the strategy, development, and execution of Hexagon’s global customer innovation program working with R&D and our field teams. This role is responsible for driving top tier customer co-innovation efforts that translate into long‑term growth for Hexagon and our customers. This role will also lead efforts to codify our co‑innovation approach and program, ensuring repeatability and scalability across future collaboration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a co‑innovation playbook that will work to engage with top customers. Establish methods and norms to help ideate with customers across workflows and processes underpinned by data and AI. The role will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Customer Innovation Function, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and working with regional field teams as well as R&D. Serve as a hands‑on leader to drive an innovation‑forward approach to client engagements, permeating into pre‑sales and post‑sales engagements.

Co‑Innovation Framework: Oversee the creation and delivery of the co‑innovation function that accelerates whitespace development, client process improvement using AI and a commercial agreement model that accelerates new revenue growth with Hexagon and its customers. Through multiple engagements, codify a playbook for co‑innovation & big‑deal repeatability that can be replicated for future customers.

Customer Engagement: Architect and lead customer innovation sessions with a cross‑functional team across customer and internal teams. Lead vision board, process flow and work optimization discussions via a walk‑the‑walls framework or equivalent. Translate co‑innovation steps into tangible work outputs and deliverables with rapid prototyping techniques.

Collaboration & Alignment: Partner closely with R&D and the field to deliver a high‑impact and value‑driven co‑innovation program and commercials supporting mid‑term revenue impact. Provide the right information, content, and tools that empower the go‑to‑market organization to sell and serve effectively.

Innovation into Product Execution: Work closely with Product and R&D to codify future product capabilities that have high impact/repeatability.

Operational Responsibilities

Create a repeatable customer innovation sprint framework that helps customers and Octave define, unlock and drive new business value.

Work with Product, R&D and Regional Pre‑sales teams to identify and shape transformational use cases.

Introduce new operating methodologies that simplify ideation and that abstract capability into quantifiable impact for customers.

Own and refine the customer innovation playbook and methodology based on current and future deals being worked to help scale with the regions.

Create and refine an outcome‑based financial model that leverages the value‑based selling method.

Education / Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Product, R&D, Pre‑Sales or Services leadership, with a proven record of driving performance improvement in global, matrixed organizations.

Demonstrated success in defining, shaping and winning co‑innovation deals that deliver measurable business impact, accelerate performance, and support transforming customer and industry operations.

Strong understanding of go‑to‑market models, value‑based selling, and customer success practices.

Demonstrated ability to translate customer business strategy, technology shifts into tangible innovation sprint.

Excellent communication and change management skills, with the ability to drive adoption and engagement at all levels of the organization.

Excellent change management experiences.

Experience leading indirect teams and managing through influence across regions and business functions.
