Head of BESS | Battery Energy Storage Systems (m/f/d)

Clear progression to Director level
We are partnering with a fast-growing energy company to hire a Head of BESS to lead and scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the German energy market. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced energy storage professional with strong commercial acumen and a clear pathway into directorship.
Key Responsibilities
Lead BESS strategy and market positioning in Germany
Own commercial, financial, and project viability decisions
Oversee utility-scale and grid-scale battery storage projects
Drive projects from development, EPC coordination, to operation
Identify new energy storage, grid services, and flexibility market opportunities
Your Profile
Proven experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Background in renewable energy, energy storage, or power markets
Strong commercial, P&L, and project economics capability
Knowledge of the German energy market, grid, and regulatory landscape
Senior leadership experience (Head of, Director, or similar)
What’s on Offer
€100k–€160k base salary (depending on experience)
