We are seeking a full‑time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to serve as our Medical Director of the Pain Center as a .2 FTE and as .8 Anesthesiologist. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative, transformative team in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and help to deliver the best possible care to the children of Northeast Ohio and beyond.
The successful candidate will join a well‑established team of 20 Pediatric Anesthesiologists, 40 CRNAs, students, residents and fellows, to provide anesthesia and pain management services to tens of thousands of young patients each year. Akron Children's Hospital’s anesthetic volume in 2024 was over 20,000 cases for all Pediatric specialties, including a Level I Burn Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, Level I Trauma Center, Acute Pain, Cardiac and Non‑OR Anesthesia Service.
Requirements: The incumbent will be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Anesthesia, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
