Responsibilities
Communicate with community healthcare professionals, including physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and state agencies on residents’ care needs.
Coordinate incidental medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care.
Perform nursing duties in accordance with the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, including administering medications and performing treatments as ordered by a physician.
Oversee and provide training for Medication Technicians.
Administer resident pre‑admission assessment prior to move‑in and complete routine/needs reassessments per company policy and state regulations.
Interview potential residents and families, obtain medical records and other required documentation for admission.
Conduct staff interviews and observe residents to detect changes in health, reporting to the Executive Director and others as needed.
Qualifications
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with valid California nursing license in good standing.
Preferred 2+ years in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
Preferred 1+ year supervising and managing employees.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid RCFE license.
Ability to teach and train staff effectively.
Computer proficiency, including MS Office.
Must pass a criminal background clearance before starting.
Highly motivated, self‑directed, and able to work independently.
Must hold valid first aid and CPR certification.
Pass health screening including physical and TB tests.
Understand and comply with COVID‑19 preventive measures as mandated.
