Registered Nurse (RN) - Medsurg Job Duration : 3 + months: High possibility of extension Pay Range: $2,070 - $2,242.5 weekly ($60/hr - $65/hr on W2) Location: Bronx/ Brooklyn, NY Schedule: 12*3 schedule – Days / Nights Shifts available – Every other weekend required
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medsurg Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in multidisciplinary teamwork, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, labs, and physical exams. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely according to physician orders. Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormalities promptly. Assist with procedures, wound care, and other routine interventions. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, pharmacists) to plan and coordinate care. Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately in medical records. Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control, fall prevention, and hospital policies. Respond appropriately to emergencies, including rapid response or code situations. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience: Minimum Two (2) years Medsurg experience is required. Excellent communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR)
