Facility Details The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is actively recruiting a Board‑Certified Staff Gastroenterologist to care for our veterans—America’s heroes. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment within the Section of Gastroenterology at Loma Linda University and will be involved with education and teaching of fellows, medical students, residents, and other providers. This rewarding opportunity awaits you in our state‑of‑the‑art VA facility in Loma Linda. Position Details The selected gastroenterologist will be responsible for:
Completing patient history, physical examinations, diagnosis, and therapeutic management
Providing effective emergency care and patient management
Conducting endoscopic procedures and maintaining accurate records
Promoting quality patient care based on current gastroenterology standards
Identifying patient needs and delivering appropriate care for improvement
Teaching and supervising fellows, residents, and medical students in the hospital setting
Coordinating educational activities—including planning, evaluation, and documentation
Planning and executing research or quality‑improvement projects (optional but valued)
Performing inpatient consultations and additional endoscopic procedures
Qualifications Board certification in gastroenterology; active medical license; experience in endoscopy; strong clinical assessment and emergency skills; dedication to teaching and quality improvement; commitment to veteran care.
Tour of Duty Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; no on‑call; alternative work schedules may be available, including part‑time appointments.
