Residency Program: New Graduate RNs receive supportive training led by dedicated nurse educators, including clinical orientation, specialty‑specific learning, and skill‑building in decision‑making, teamwork, communication, and career development. Unit: Work in the dynamic Neurology department which includes the 6‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and the 17‑bed Neurology Unit, providing advanced care for stroke, general neurology, and neurosurgery overflow patients. Location: Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – an 885‑bed tertiary care hospital centrally located in North Carolina’s “Triad.” Relocation Assistance: Qualified candidates may receive relocation support. Less than 6 months of RN experience. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Job Responsibilities
Engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence‑based practices. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families from admission to post‑discharge. Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes. Uphold and promote a culture of safety. Continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures. Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications. Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, practice ethical decision‑making, respect interdisciplinary roles, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care. Appropriately delegate to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse assistants, and unlicensed assistive personnel. Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation. May be required to float to other units, departments, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served. Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $34.90 – $52.35 per hour. Compensation includes base pay, premium pay for shift and on‑call duties, incentive pay for select positions, and opportunities for annual increases based on performance. Paid Time Off programs.
