Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of team and individual workouts in the areas of flexibility, lifting, running, and testing, among other areas. Responsible for budget management for strength and conditioning, including allocation of resources, equipment and supplement purchase and replacement planning. Works with supervisor to help implement nutrition programs and dietary education plans for all studentathletes (including Training Table). Communicates with individual sport coaches and sports medicine staff regarding physical training issues and injury limitations of studentathletes. Is responsible for safety and maintenance of strength and conditioning training areas. Creates appropriate reports and tracking mechanisms of strength, speed, and conditioning test results, athlete nutritional analyses, and other data as necessary. Oversees, manages and supervises fulltime strength and conditioning coaches and graduate assistants. Supervision includes selection, training, evaluation, and professional development and management of all subordinates. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 1 year of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
