Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking for a seasoned Software & Platform Engineer (Tech Lead) to drive platform reliability, security, and modernization initiatives while partnering closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
What Youll Do Act as a technical lead for a small engineering team, identifying and delivering platform improvements that support multiple Agile teams Partner closely with Service Availability / Reliability Engineering teams to evolve CI/CD processes, manage issues, and enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting Own and support an internal web platform that provides centralized access to multiple enterprise applications Lead intake, coordination, and tracking of enterprise security initiatives, including application security scanning, penetration testing, and vulnerability management programs Evaluate and contribute to new technical initiatives, helping guide architecture and implementation decisions Ensure systems and applications remain current, stable, and performant Contribute to platform strategy, including feature flagging, caching solutions, event-driven architectures, and performance environment enhancements Support automation engineers within Agile teams and assist with development efforts as needed
Required Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building enterprise applications using the Microsoft technology stack (.NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, SQL) 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role Experience with Windows-based application deployment and support Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT) Familiarity with modern UI technologies such as Angular and TypeScript Advanced experience with observability and logging tools such as Splunk or similar platforms Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling (e.g., GitHub, Bamboo, or equivalent) Hands-on experience building and supporting RESTful APIs using .NET Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications Background in financial services, retirement platforms, or highly regulated industries Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
