Job Description Job Description We have a great client that is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer WITH CNC PROGRAMMING (must have both) to support our high-volume CNC machining operations, air bag molding, and manual assembly processes. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, high-quality production through process development, optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, as well as experience supporting manual assembly lines for mechanical or products. A plus for experience with rubber molded products. Key Responsibilities: CNC Machining: • Develop, implement, and optimize CNC machining processes for new and existing products. • Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Esprit and MCOSMOS). • Design and specify tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support CNC production using CMM and SolidWorks CAD Software. • Write and maintain CMM programs to support first piece production inspection. • Update and maintain Gauge Plans for production using Engineering drawing specifications. • Analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime. • Support the introduction of new CNC equipment and technologies. ALB Lay-Up and Molding: • Develop, implement, and optimize lay-up processes and tooling to support air bag manufacturing. • Manage air bag mold tooling design changes using SolidWorks CAD Software. • Conduct root cause analysis on production process to improve quality issues. • Refine manufacturing floor workflow and implement new technologies to improve production efficiency. Manual Assembly: • Design and improve manual assembly processes for mechanical, pneumatic and/or electromechanical products. • Develop standard work instructions, visual aids, and ergonomic workstations. • Conduct time studies and line balancing to improve throughput and reduce labor costs. • Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure consistent assembly quality and compliance with specifications. • Support training of assembly operators and implement best practices for lean assembly. General Manufacturing Engineering: • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues. • Maintain documentation including quality Gauge Plans, process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. • Assist in training and cross training of machinists on new lines. • Maintain tooling inventory and assist in purchase as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on CNC machining and/or manual assembly. • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming. • Experience with manual assembly line design, ergonomics, and process documentation. • Strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, and cutting tools. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation. • Fanuc Robot Programming ability. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (3-, 4-, or 5-axis). • Knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement tools. • Experience with electromechanical assembly or small parts assembly. • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar. • Rubber molding experience a plus.6b250ea6-cee3-481d-915c-f7283f1b2f1b
