Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Senior Estimator
to join our exceptional team. This individual will play a pivotal role in budgeting, pricing, and strategizing for high-value residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of custom construction at the highest levels of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full preconstruction estimating process for luxury residential and commercial projects.
Work closely with architects, designers, consultants, and clients to provide accurate and transparent cost evaluations.
Develop detailed budgets, conceptual estimates, value engineering options, and bid packages.
Analyze plans, specifications, scopes of work, and site conditions to produce complete and competitive estimates.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and cultivate strong relationships with premier trade partners.
Collaborate with project managers and executives to ensure a smooth handoff from preconstruction to construction.
Qualifications
Minimum
8+ years
of estimating experience in high-end residential or luxury commercial construction.
Demonstrated success in pricing and budgeting for custom homes and estates valued at $8M+.
Deep knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, market pricing, and subcontractor scopes.
Strong proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating, etc.).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex estimates simultaneously.
