What You Will Be Doing
Design academic frameworks that apply learning science to inform curriculum development, motivation architecture, and application design.
Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams are coordinated, accountable, and achieving outcomes.
Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high‑impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
Ensure strategic alignment via planning, continuous feedback, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
Serve as the external representative of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, including keynote addresses and engagements with ministries of education, advancing systemic transformation.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Working on disconnected curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
Producing theoretical research detached from student outcomes or operational execution.
Passing off performance accountability to middle‑tier managers or external consultants.
Relying on institutional credibility or abstract theory to persuade stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership performance standards, and emerging as the authoritative public voice of a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.
Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.
Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.
Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
