Pharmaceutical | Biotech | Clinical | Recruiter Connecting Organizations With Industry Experts Position Summary The Senior Manager, Commercial Predictive & Advanced Analytics will lead the development and application of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data-driven insights to support commercial strategy across the biopharmaceutical portfolio. This role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Forecasting teams to drive performance, optimize omnichannel engagement, and inform strategic decision-making across inline and launch brands.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning with deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations and the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities Advanced & Predictive Analytics
Lead the design and execution of predictive models (e.g., patient finding, patient on-boarding, demand forecasting, HCP targeting, promotion response, next best action/next best messaging, efficiency enhancements etc.).
Apply advanced analytics techniques (machine learning, AI, causal inference, optimization) to commercial business questions.
Develop scalable analytics solutions to support brand strategy, launch planning, and lifecycle management.
Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Patient Services and Forecasting to inform go-to-market strategy and resource allocation.
Support omnichannel strategy through advanced customer segmentation, next-best-action/messaging modeling, and engagement optimization.
Generate insights to evaluate promotional effectiveness, marketing mix, field force deployment, and digital channel performance.
Oversee end-to-end analytics projects, from problem definition and data sourcing to modeling, insight generation, and communication.
Ensure analytical rigor, model governance, and adherence to data privacy and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, company policies).
Collaborate with Performance and Insights team, Data Engineering and IT teams to enhance data assets, platforms, and analytical tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.
Serve as a trusted analytics thought partner to commercial leadership teams.
Influence decision-making by delivering timely, actionable insights aligned to business priorities.
Team & Capability Development
Contribute to the evolution of advanced analytics capabilities, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
Evaluate and pilot external data sources, tools, and vendors as needed.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in commercial analytics, advanced analytics, or data science, preferably within biopharmaceuticals or life sciences.
Strong hands-on experience with predictive modeling and advanced analytics techniques.
Proficiency in analytics and programming tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS Snowflake).
Experience working with pharma commercial data (e.g., claims, HUB/SP, prescription data, CRM, promotional data).
Proven ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
Experience supporting product launches and lifecycle management.
Familiarity with omnichannel analytics, marketing mix modeling, and AI-driven personalization.
Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Prior people management or matrix leadership experience.
