Senior Manager, Advanced Commercial Analytics The Senior Manager, Advanced Commercial Analytics, will lead the implementation and operational delivery of advanced analytics solutions across the commercial organization, including forecasting. This role is hands‑on yet senior enough to provide methodological direction, coordinate cross‑functional alignment, and ensure analytical outputs are delivered with rigor, consistency, and business relevance.
In addition to building and managing forecasting solutions, the Senior Manager will contribute to implementing predictive analytics supporting Next Best Action (NBA) capabilities, journey analytics, and optimization models. While the role includes strategic input and planning, the emphasis is firmly on
applied execution, cross‑functional delivery, and analytics implementation leadership .
Accountabilities Forecasting Implementation
Lead the hands‑on development, enhancement, and deployment of forecasting models across brands and therapeutic areas.
Translate business assumptions, market dynamics, and data inputs into reliable demand, patient, and revenue forecasts.
Own forecasting methodology selection, model setup, calibration, validation, and documentation.
Partner with Finance, Insights, Sales Operations, and Marketing to ensure forecasts align with business needs and planning cycles.
Support ongoing forecast updates, scenario analyses, sensitivity testing, and long‑range forecasting processes.
Omnichannel Journey Analytics
Implement analytics that map HCP and consumer behaviors across personal promotion, non‑personal promotion, digital marketing, and DTC.
Build journey scoring models, engagement indicators, and behavioral insights to support brand and omnichannel activation.
Provide practical guidance on how journey insights should inform next steps, segmentation, and communication strategies.
Next Best Action (NBA)
Lead the design and implementation of NBA models and recommendation logic, working closely with digital and CRM teams.
Translate business rules and modeling outputs into deployable NBA recommendations within CRM and digital platforms.
Monitor NBA performance, measure lift, and refine algorithms and business rules based on real‑world engagement data.
Participate in shaping NBA strategy but focus primarily on execution and optimization of NBA capabilities.
Marketing Mix Analytics (MMA) & Optimization
Contribute to developing, interpreting, and deploying MMA and promotional effectiveness models.
Implement optimization routines and scenario tools that support brand planning and omnichannel investment decisions.
Translate complex model outputs into practical, actionable recommendations for commercial teams.
Data Environment Utilization & Enhancement
Use and contribute to the enhancement of the existing enterprise data ecosystem (Snowflake, AWS Redshift) to support forecasting and advanced analytics.
Partner with data engineering to improve data quality, structure, and feature availability for modeling.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance data readiness for analytics.
Cross‑Functional Execution
Lead cross‑functional teams in delivering analytics projects from definition through deployment.
Act as a senior technical partner to Marketing, Digital, Insights, Sales Ops, and Finance.
Provide practical, implementation‑focused guidance to analysts and data scientists.
Communicate analytical findings clearly and directly, focusing on what teams need to execute effectively.
Strategic Input
Contribute to shaping the analytics roadmap for forecasting, NBA, and omnichannel analytics capabilities.
Provide input on methodology, technology needs, and process improvements.
Support leadership in identifying new opportunities to apply analytics to commercial challenges.
Education & Experience
At least 4 years of experience in commercial analytics, advanced analytics, omnichannel analytics, or digital marketing analytics in pharma/biotech or healthcare.
Strong hands‑on analytics skills with experience implementing advanced analytical models, segmentation, scoring, and journey analytics.
Advanced technical skills to design, maintain, and refine pharmaceutical forecasting models with accuracy and consistency.
Predictive modeling, segmentation, journey analytics, NLP, uplift modeling.
NBA algorithms and rules‑based systems.
Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
Experience using and interpreting pharmaceutical datasets including IQVIA, Symphony, claims, CRM data, and digital marketing datasets.
Demonstrated ability to translate analytical outputs into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across Marketing, Digital, Insights, Sales, and IT.
Experience mentoring analysts and supporting the development of junior team members.
