Atlantic Health System, a prominent non‑profit healthcare network in New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated full‑time Hospice Medical Director for an in‑person position with the Atlantic Hospice Care Program. The Medical Director will provide leadership, expertise, and administrative oversight, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care for patients and families. The Director may also assume the responsibility of attending physician as needed.
Responsibilities
Supervise Assistant Medical Directors and ensure continuous physician coverage.
Collaborate with hospice management to develop policies and standards of care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and review patient eligibility.
Provide certification for services and assist in developing individualized care plans.
Demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to end‑of‑life care excellence.

Salary Range:
$270,000 – $320,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives.
Qualifications
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey.
Board Certification in Palliative Medicine is preferred.
Completion of a Palliative Medicine fellowship program.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a practicing physician.
Minimum 5 years working in palliative care.
Certification by the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine is preferred.
