Shoulder and Sports Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO)
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Shoulder and Sports Orthopedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive care for patients with shoulder, knee, and sports-related musculoskeletal injuries. The surgeon will focus on both surgical and non-surgical management of athletic and degenerative conditions, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat sports-related and shoulder musculoskeletal injuries, including rotator cuff injuries, instability, labral tears, ligament injuries, and cartilage disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing operative and non-operative approaches.
Perform orthopedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopic and open surgeries of the shoulder and other sports-related joints.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and coordination of rehabilitation programs.
Collaborate with physical therapists, athletic trainers, primary care providers, and other specialists to optimize patient recovery and performance.
Manage acute injuries, overuse conditions, and degenerative joint disorders.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship training in Sports Medicine and/or Shoulder Surgery preferred.
Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
Active medical license to practice in the state of employment.
Strong clinical judgment, surgical expertise, and communication skills.
Work Environment
Hospital, surgical center, and outpatient clinic settings.

Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
