Chief Architect
for a
Contract
with a client in
Chicago, IL/Richardson, TX.
This role involves designing and developing microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot and driving cloud-native deployments with CI/CD pipelines.
Rate Range:
$53/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and lead microservices using Spring Boot and Core Java, ensuring scalable, secure, and cloud‑ready architectures.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment to Azure; enforce DevOps best practices.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), including data migration to PostgreSQL.
Architect and implement cloud solutions on Azure, leveraging containers and cloud services; ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Drive standards and best practices (design patterns, authentication/authorization, secure coding) and conduct code reviews and technical mentorship.
Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs; lead Agile ceremonies and guide delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years in IT, including 8+ years in Core Java, 6+ years with Spring Boot & Microservices, and experience leading Java teams.
Proven hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Azure (cloud deployment, containerization, CI/CD pipelines) and RESTful API design.
Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), authentication/authorization, and DevOps/CICD best practices; Kafka/event‑driven design is a plus (PBM domain knowledge preferred).

Pay Details:
$53.00 to $68.00 per hour
