Director of Case Management – Sign On Bonus
Position at Select Specialty Hospital, Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH).
Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8‑5 pm. Salary $135,000–$155,000 plus a $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
Clinical license as a registered nurse, respiratory therapist, or a master’s in social work plus a minimum of three (3) years of medical case management or similar experience required.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing patient‑specific safe and timely discharge plans.
Verifying utilization criteria and performing utilization review.
Coordinating with payors to ensure proper reimbursement and promote cost‑attentive care.
Ensuring compliance with utilization management policies and quality management.
Managing financial responsibilities and negotiating reimbursement.
Facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation therapists.
Minimum Requirements
Current licensure in a clinical or related discipline.
Minimum three (3) years of medical case management or similar experience.
Minimum two (2) years of experience managing a case management department or leading case management at Select Medical with demonstrated effective leadership (internal candidates must have achieved objectives and be recommended by the CEO).
Preferred Qualifications
Current RN licensure.
Working knowledge of the insurance industry and government reimbursement.
Location: San Diego Metropolitan Area.
