The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures, including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

Locations & Shift Options

Our CRNAs cover 133 anesthetizing locations across Huntsville Hospital Health System.

Opportunities available in pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, cardiovascular care, and more.

Option to rotate throughout affiliate facilities, with shift options available at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Athens‑Limestone Hospital, Athens‑Limestone Surgery Center, Madison Hospital, and Madison Hospital Outpatient Endoscopy.

Compensation & Bonuses

Sign‑on Bonus: $75,000 with a three‑year work commitment.

Premium Pay for weekends and extra shifts.

Relocation assistance (must live more than 75 miles from Huntsville Hospital campus).

Voluntary Call: Earn up to an additional $25,000 annual salary, plus premium call‑back pay when you join our voluntary call teams at Huntsville Hospital, Cardiovascular Operating Room, and age 3+ calls plus Pediatrics at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.

Education & Qualifications

Holds current active state licensure as an RN in Alabama or a compact state RN License; complies with all applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.

Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.

Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities specified below.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

ACLS, BLS, PALS from the American Heart Association.

Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis.

Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care and necessary perioperative or operating room care supporting patient safety and wellbeing while under direct care of the CRNA.

Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clinical staff and other disciplines.

Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.

Ability to maintain confidential records.

Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the lifespan; ability to assess data reflective of patient's requirements relative to their population‑specific and age‑specific needs.
