Head of Buying
Are you a high‑calibre womenswear buying leader with a taste for expat life? Would you like to explore life in Dubai with plenty of perks (most importantly tax‑free income!)?
A major global brand is seeking a Head of Buying to lead their womenswear category (200 million USD+ turnover). The role will suit someone who has had experience in this category preferably within large‑format commercial high‑street retail and is willing to explore an emerging market.
What will be your role? As a Head of Buying Womenswear, you will :
Lead the entire category from a product‑strategy point of view
Be responsible for all key commercial deliverables such as margins, turnover, costs, lead time, etc.
Be the brand ambassador for this category to all key stakeholders such as vendors, design teams, marketing, visual, retail and the Board.
Manage your budgets, P&L and OTB
Build a high‑performing team and mentor them
Build key strategic relationships with vendors and command loyalty through effective supplier‑management models
Set benchmarks in quality, ethics and excellence in product
Lead turnaround / turn‑key projects such as revamping the brand image or perception of a certain category / brand
Who are you? As a Head of Womenswear Buying you will ideally :
Be a senior buying leader with a strong background in commercial high‑street womenswear, ideally in the UK or Europe
Be highly commercial and have strong negotiation skills
Be well placed to implement international standards and product benchmarks in a growing and developing market
Be willing to take on a challenge and commit to the job in Dubai
