The Production Manager will play a critical role in bringing large-scale, high‑profile events to life, ensuring flawless execution from initial planning through on‑site operations.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support for event planning, logistics, project tracking, and general event functions.

Collaborate with the Overall Event Producer to manage and update event budgets, including revising estimates, reviewing invoices, and preparing chargebacks.

Maintain and update event schedules, regularly checking in with various teams on progress and updates.

Participate in overall production planning, installation/deinstallation processes, and daily operational strategies.

Engage in deliverable reviews, including individual space assessments, to ensure production readiness and operational efficiency.

Coordinate and manage the production of designated visual content locations, including installation and deinstallation.

Provide hands‑on support during installation and deinstallation phases.

Offer daily operational triage support as needed, assisting area managers and resolving immediate issues.

Support daily closing procedures, ensuring attendees clear the venue safely and efficiently, and all vendors adhere to designated operating hours.

Serve as the overall evening point of contact at the venue until all attendees have departed the main event areas.

Partner with various internal departments, sponsors, venue representatives, and operational teams to facilitate efficient communication and seamless operations.

Assist the Production Team and vendors by addressing questions or concerns, connecting them with key contacts as necessary.

Actively participate in production meetings, site visits, vendor meetings, and other planning sessions as required.

Communicate regularly with the Event Producer on progress, potential risks, and next steps, immediately flagging any items that may impact scope, schedule, budget, contracts, or programming.

Participate in daily wrap‑up meetings during load‑in and operational phases.

Work with relevant partners to update production schedules, budget documentation, and other production files, providing copies to the Overall Event Producer as required and at the conclusion of the event.

Provide after‑action notes and participate in after‑action meetings as requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Meeting Planning, Marketing, Business, Theater, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 3 years of production management or event production experience.

Demonstrated experience with budget development, management, reporting, and close‑out processes.

Knowledge of technical design and show production needs, including staging, video, audio, and lighting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead teams and provide clear direction.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong organizational skills and a proactive, independent mindset capable of making smart decisions quickly.
