Job Overview The Principal Solution Architect leads, facilitates, analyzes, and designs enterprise solution architecture supporting the Account View (AV) Data Project, with a focus on cloud migration, big data, and modern web technologies. This role establishes a technology strategy and roadmap that enables the AV portfolio to support current and future business capabilities, including Generative AI (GAI) adoption. The architect drives design, engineering, reuse, and application of patterns, and creates Enabler Epics for solutions in the AV portfolio, leveraging continuous feedback and adaptive design practices.
Responsibilities
Lead cloud migration initiatives and architect cloud‑native solutions, primarily on AWS.
Design and develop scalable solutions across web, API, and event‑driven architectures.
Architect and maintain big data solutions, including data warehousing and data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, DocumentDB, S3).
Collaborate on the adoption and integration of Generative AI (GAI) solutions.
Ensure robust system integration using APIs, events, and cloud technologies.
Collaborate with Lean Product Portfolio Management to provide a high‑level vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
Assist Agile Program Management Office (ACDC) in identifying and designing development value streams and supporting artifacts.
Participate in strategy for building and maintaining the architectural runway via Enabler Epics.
Drive architectural initiatives via enabler epics and participate in their analysis.
Influence modeling, design, and coding practices, promoting Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevSecOps capabilities.
Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns.
Synchronize disciplines across solutions, including system/data security, production infrastructure, user experience, and non‑functional requirements (NFRs).
Analyze enterprise business context and change requirements to guide solution decisions.
Define principles and models to guide solution decisions for AV and enterprise.
Assist with governance activities to ensure ESA and EA compliance.
Document solution architecture design and analysis work in a structured fashion matching the EA framework.
Advocate principles of business and IT strategies, EA development, and service delivery.
Coordinate with enterprise business, information, and technology architects.
Key Responsibilities (AV Data Project Focus)
Lead cloud migration and cloud‑native architecture for AV data solutions.
Architect big data platforms and data lakes (Snowflake, DocumentDB, S3).
Design and implement modern web and API solutions (Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, .NET, Python, Kafka).
Integrate event‑driven architectures and support data streaming.
Drive adoption of Generative AI solutions in alignment with AV blueprints.
Requirements
2+ years of deep expertise in AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, etc.) and cloud‑native architecture. Experience with cloud migration, refactoring, rearchitecting and re‑platforming.
4+ years hands‑on experience with big data technologies, data warehousing, and ETL (Snowflake, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL).
8+ years of proficiency in modern web technologies (Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript). Strong skills in API and event‑driven development (.NET, Python, Kafka).
4+ years experience in DevOps tools, automated deployments, and containerization. Familiarity with Generative AI (GAI) solutions and blueprint‑driven development.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, system analysis, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Core Competencies
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be respected as a leader.
