Our wealth management business ( Lazard Wealth ) collaborates with our clients to help solve and simplify the complexities of wealth, while delivering sophisticated investment solutions and advice. We combine years of history and experience to help preserve and grow our clients’ wealth across generations. The principal areas of focus with clients are strategic advice and planning, investment management and direct private investments. Working in partnership with families, we customize an investment process that meets their specific needs.

We are seeking a Vice President to support the team’s relationship management efforts, investment coordination, and financial planning, among other responsibilities. In this role, you would be client-facing, and would be expected to interface with internal and external stakeholders with discretion, care, and pride in your work.

We’ll trust you to:

Proactively own and execute on projects and logistics related to client portfolios including all areas of client’s wealth profile across investment management, wealth transfer, tax planning and insurance

Generate monthly and quarterly client presentations including investment portfolio updates, market reviews and other relevant topics

Close collaboration with Investment, Family Office Services, and Portfolio & Quantitative Analytics teams to gather and aggregate data for clients

Coordinate with senior and junior team members to respond to client requests/portfolio questions

Proactively identify client needs and collaborate with internal resources to effectively communicate recommendations to client

Send out and upload regular mailings including performance reports, capital account statements, tax estimates and annual audited financials

Assist with client account pro-forma generation and account rebalancing process

Meeting preparation and agendas for client and prospect meetings

Attend client meetings, take notes during client meetings, add notes to Salesforce and track/execute post‑meeting action items

Assist with new client onboarding process in conjunction with Family Office Services and Investment teams

Research and create in‑depth presentations about ad hoc client needs and potential areas of interest/investment

On occasion, assist other teams with ad hoc projects as needed, including business development needs

Track all client and associated third‑party service provider activity in CRM (Salesforce)

Update internal tracking requirements for all client activity

You’ll need to have:

A Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 6 – 8 years of relevant work experience

Relevant experience working with ultra high-net-worth clients on their investment and wealth management goals

A very strong work ethic and drive with keen attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work in a team‑based environment and to become an integral part of existing client relationship, external advisor, and internal Lazard Wealth teams

Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness

Working knowledge of capital markets and an understanding of investment strategies, financial and estate planning, and economic and accounting principles and practices

Experience with performance reporting and portfolio analysis

Strong organizational skills

Understand need for confidentiality and discretion with clients

A proactive approach to problem‑solving

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM skills

A passion for the wealth management industry and client relationships

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $145,000‑$165,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
