VP, Strategy & Business Execution | Driving Operational Excellence | PMP Certified PURPOSE:

Walker Ink, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Manager responsible for overseeing all warehouse operational processes that support the accurate, cost-effective, and efficient shipping and receiving of goods across both eCommerce and wholesale channels.

Initially, this role will play a key part in decision-making and planning for the setup of a new facility. Long term, the Warehouse Manager will maintain and manage all aspects of the facility, ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Facility Design & Layout: Plan physical storage (racks, bins) to maximize space and design efficient pick paths tailored for both small-parcel e-commerce and bulk wholesale shipments.

System Implementation: Lead the selection and setup of a modern WMS and integrate it with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon) and ERP systems.

SOP Development: Establish all standard operating procedures, including inbound receiving, quality control checks, kitting/bundling, and returns; set and maintain SLA’s for on-time shipping, accuracy, and vendor compliance for all channels of business.

Equipment & Resource Planning: Procure critical equipment (forklifts, scanners, packing stations) and negotiate initial rates with last‑mile carriers and LTL providers.

Freight Management: Engage with LTL and small parcel third-party vendors to ensure all rates are competitive and terms favor both e-commerce and wholesale operations.

Omnichannel Fulfillment: Oversee rapid pick/pack/ship for online orders while simultaneously managing bulk palletizing and scheduling for wholesale distributors.

Sales Ops Coordination: Work directly with Sales Ops to ensure customer sales orders, requirements, and windows are met, and transactions flow and update accordingly (including OOR review and reconciliation in NS, SPS, and Shopify).

Inventory Control: Maintain 99%+ accuracy through daily cycle counting and ABC analysis.

Staffing & Culture: Recruit, hire, and train a new team; implement safety standards (OSHA) and performance-based KPIs such as Order Cycle Time and Picking Accuracy; evaluate need for temporary or flex labor, manage headcount and budget; promote continuous improvement and empower staff to participate in process improvement initiatives.

Logistics Coordination: Synchronize inbound freight with outbound shipments to optimize dock turns and minimize dead stock.
