System Engineer III – Satellite and Systems Integration
Overview We are seeking a System Engineer III with deep experience in Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate to streamline business processes, enhance data visibility, and support organizational impact tracking. The role requires a Secret US DoD security clearance and full‑time commitment in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks such as approvals, reminders, report generation, and notifications.
Integrate Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Power BI, etc.) to create seamless information flows and collaborative solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, and libraries to support business processes and create a one‑stop knowledge base.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize data and provide actionable insights.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation scripts and flows to ensure stability and optimal performance.
Collaborate with project leads to gather and document business requirements for new automation projects and enhancements.
Translate business requirements into technical designs, considering scalability and maintainability.
Thoroughly test developed solutions and create comprehensive documentation for end‑users and support personnel.
Track funding and impacts based on project schedule, overtime, leave, and new requirements, and report on this data.
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices.
Provide training and support to end‑users on new and existing Microsoft 365 solutions.
Required Skills / Experience
3–5 years of developer experience, preferably in a Microsoft 365 environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM field.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 platform and its capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the organization’s security posture with limited supervision.
Preferred Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of Power Automate connectors, actions, triggers, expressions, and best practices.
Proficiency in SharePoint site design, development, administration, and workflows.
Power BI development skills (desktop and service, DAX, data modeling).
Microsoft Graph API knowledge for accessing and manipulating data.
Power Apps experience (Canvas and/or Model‑driven).
PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 automation.
JSON and REST API understanding.
Experience tracking projects, finances, and KPIs to assess organizational impact.
Preferred Soft Skills
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Collaboration and teamwork across departments.
Time management and prioritization of multiple projects.
Clear technical documentation for end‑users and support.
Strong customer service orientation.
