Position Overview Under the supervision of the intensivist, this position supports the Critical Care Service Line. Principal responsibilities include assessing and managing the medical care of patients in collaboration with the physician. The incumbent will also communicate with other nursing staff and referring physician to ensure continuity and coordination of care. The NP will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement the medical care of patients in collaboration with a physician. Functions within the full scope of licensure; accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The NP delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. The NP develops, implements, and manages an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. The NP fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their families/support groups, and physicians.
Preferred: 5 years of RN experience in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care.
Job Description This position is a full-time per diem ICU role. Principal accountabilities, requirements, and qualifications are not exhaustive and may be revised. The NP will conduct patient assessments, provide and coordinate high‑quality care, and maintain documentation. Responsibilities include advanced critical care interventions, monitoring of physiological parameters, collaboration with physicians, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The NP will also educate patients and families and ensure compliance with all regulatory policies.

Preferred Experience
5 years of recent relevant experience
Skills and Knowledge
General knowledge of advanced nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
Knowledge of healthcare industry safety policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and local/state/federal regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non‑medical people.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Electronic Health Record.
Ability to prioritize and delegate assignments to meet deadlines.
Capacity to work independently and within a team in a busy environment.
Problem‑solving skills to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems.
Commitment to protecting patient protected health information (PHI).
Collaborative relationship building with peers and other healthcare providers.
